If proof were required for brevity being the soul of wit, it was provided in abundance by Stagefright and Panic when they presented the Compleat Works of Wllm Shkspr at the Lionel Wendt.
It was irreverent 'stuff and nonsense' which worked through several of the Bard's plays and the manner in which Shakespeare was re-written was breezy and exhilarating.
Three actors, without props, who frolicked through three hours of enthralling entertainment had the audience spellbound and there was occasion even for us in the pit of the House to participate.
Even the interval was announced in an innovative manner.
The three actors were fine foils for each other but Ifaz Bin Jameel excelled with a versatile performance and Feroze and Anuruddha were close on his heels, providing us with the magic of interpretation. Altogether, it was total evening's entertainment and had us in stitches when Shakespeare was brought into the light of reality, even with the Speaker of the House of Representatives and many other topical matters were touched upon.
